How do those two survive? Dumpster diving??

Alice & Elmont, my least favorite characters in Doonesbury. And that includes Jim Andrews. Two of the only characters who add nothing & have nothing to say.

“Elmont” sure looks like that parasite that hooked up with Mike’s wife!!

His & Hers Nobel Prizes only get you so far.

I love that gigantic, empty speech bubble.

I don’t think radio is the best place for awkward silence.

Our local pantries receive foodstuffs from local grocery stores and the US Government. Many locals are too proud to accept charity, unfortunately. I always wave and say “hi” to people I know.

Are Alice and Elmont still alive? I have a Doonesbury book from the 70’s that has Alice in it, being celebrated at a bar for her birthday. Years and years later when I realized it was her, regardless that it’s a comic, it made me really sad.

Welfare “reform” was one of the biggest ways Bill Clinton turned the Democrats into the republicans.
