The survey to see where Wallace’s followers live was fun. Let’s try a second one. What ages are his followers? Once again, I’ll start. I’m 72. And you?
For some reason I just thought of the radioactive snake exploding through the terlet in Hard Ticket to Hawaii.
Did you realize when you sit on a toilet, you’re connecting your butt to a citywide network of butts?
Spud may never poop again.
“Spud got attacked by octopuses? Suckers!”
I would like to see a horror flick about this.
This would have made a terrible Beatles song:
I’d like to be
Inside the toilet
In an octopus’s garden
In the shade
Looks like he disturbed the water..
don’t forget toilet rats !
65, and since I seem to have missed the location survey, Charlotte NC
The 2nd panel is hilarious, only to be topped by “toilet snakes”.
I sometimes get a frog.
And again, my favorite “Heavens no”!
What about r.ats Spud? Rats climb up the pipes from the sewer
Octopuses, octopi, and octopodes are all acceptable plurals of octopus.
Toilet paper (panel 2 far right) is hung correctly. Further evidence of Mr. henry’s attention to detail.
Heavens!
Toilet snakes are a real thing
Wait – there are really such creatures as toilet snakes? Now where am going to… you know…
Thanks again for the info Wallace……
Will Henry’s attention to detail goes without saying, but with the wild tangle of appendages in panel two, there are precisely 8.
The big 5-0 here. Still wondering where my 30’s went! :^(
No one tell Spud about toilet rats…
And then there’s the story in the New York Times about bats living in slit toilets!
Actually… octopodes. It’s a word of Greek origin. Octopuses has become common, yes, but so has using “literally” to mean “not necessarily literally.”
Octopodes it is, for me.
The area where they are hanging out appears to have a texture similar to octopus suckers.
Octopi and octopuses are both correct.

Rose is right. I too thought that octopi was the correct plural (at least in English).
