And it is getting farther away every day………(>.<)

Funny, my aches always hit me about two days later and I have a hard time remembering exactly what I was doing at the time.

Some beds are more difficult than others.

Such is life. There are few kind words to describe those who rely on their parents to provide for them.

Janis no longer has the gift of waitress feet. Her dogs are dog tired. And Arlo never had the fast in fast food cook.

It’s better than just dying out.

I cannot sit up in bed like that.

Sigh. I’m still waiting to pass the torch.

Getting old sucks

That is so dam sweet!

Just when you think that you are doing well for your age, a different ache, spasm or pain will remind you not to get too arrogant or full of yourself.

There are days when you believe that you can pick up the tool box and handle the next thing on the list, and there are those days that the easy chair and a beverage of choice are calling you more loudly. When the latter are more frequent then you start to realize that your grip on the torch is weakening.

I visited my niece and her family and got to sleep in a leaking air mattress on the floor! Getting up in the morning was interesting to say the least.

Go with this, Arlo. Big wheel is turnin’.

Is this a watershed week for the Arlo and Janis strip? Will life on the Bayou take precedence now Jimmy?

What is it with Gene’s hair?

the aches and pains are one thing but I like the torch comment. I first noticed it when after visiting my daughter, she and her hubby wanted us to call when we got home safely. It used to be the other way around! But when they come to visit at our home, I still make them breakfast.

That’s it….Lately, I’ve felt like I slept in a cement truck!

Is JJ still having problems posting on the Blog?

I’ve discovered there is a pace I can more or less keep for awhile in doing stuff where I don’t pay too much the next couple of days. Go much faster than that? Not a good thing …

I think the rest of Janis’s statement was going to be “I can take one more day of this.”

I do love that both of them came to help without hesitating. Such a lovely family bond!

Arlo is this sore from working ONE lunch shift at the diner. He was sent home after lunch. He is really old.

It’s funny reading these comments. I think we’ve all grown old together reading this strip.

I usually sleep in a dump truck.

They could try giving Meg back her bed and trying a night on the boat…?
