LMAO. I heard that crap all the time when I worked in an office. We had a bingo board to check off the stupid words bosses used during meetings. I still twitch when I hear the words synergy or paradigm 18 years later.
I once had a newly minted 20-something MBA for a boss. When she wanted a third opinion, she told me we had to triangulate. (And, no, she meant purely business, nothing kinky).
And they’ll get there by “thinking outside the box”, “coloring outside the lines”, and “working smarter, not harder”. Excuse me while I go get some Pepto-Bismol.
It sounds like a good idea. The problem is just how do you propose to get there when you are so reluctant to give up what seemed to work so well in the Past?
Reminds me of when Blockbuster acquired my company to form “Blockbuster Music”. Remember that chain? That’s right, no one does. If you own shares in a company that starts tossing around “synergy”, sell your stock ASAP!

“a business chant” is as good a term for it as I’ve heard. A helpful euphemism. You can’t publicly call it &^%*&+!

Three years after I’ve retired, I wonder if there are still stakeholders standing around, holding their stakes.

I like to point out to pompous interlocutors that I speak a language related to theirs. Standard English.

They want to be the leader in working together. At least that’s what my old Business to English dictionary says.
