Since the point of the Comments section is supposed to be about humor instead of murders in Aruba (or your pets) please allow me to share this joke related to Arlo’s handyman prowess:
One day a husband comes home from work. His wife greets him and says, “Honey, you know, in the upstairs bathroom one of the pipes is leaking, could you fix it?” The husband says, “What do I look like, Mr. Plumber?”
A few days go by, and he comes home from work and his wife says, “Honey, my car won’t start. I think it needs a new battery. Could you change it for me?” He says: “What do I look like, Mr. Goodwrench?”
Another few days go by, and it’s raining pretty hard. The wife finds a leak in the roof. She says, “Honey, there’s a leak on the roof! Can you please fix it?” He says, “What do I look like, Bob Vila?”
The next day the husband comes home, and the roof is fixed. So is the plumbing. So is the car. He asks his wife what happened.
“Oh, I had a handyman come in and fix them,” she says.
“Great! What did he charge?” he says. “Nothing. He said he’d do it for free if I either baked him a cake or slept with him.”
“Cheeky! Well, what kind of cake did you make?” asks the husband.
Have any of you noticed above the COMMENT POLICY and SHOW/HIDE ALL COMMENTS would flip flop yesterday? It is annoying to accidently tap the Comment Policy and have to come back to the toons
Aruba, Bali, anywhere USA- there are bad people, bad things happening but let’s not paint the whole with that brush but remember and honor and be joyful for the vast majority of the world who live with good hearts and have beauty to share

Why is it, “on” an island or continent, but “in” a country, state, or city? I understand in the air or water, and recognize the difference between on the ground and in the ground.
Never signed onto Facebook and never will. People post way to much information. One of our daughters husbands grandparents posted about how they were leaving for some time on vacation. TMI, they also posted about everything they had in their house, again TMI.
They came home to a totally empty house. Everything gone. Including their HVAC. Burglars had brought a moving truck and cleaned out the entire house

Do not like JJ’s choice. The disappearance of Natalee Holloway kind of soured me on any thought of having anything to do with Aruba.

I don’t know why people brag about traveling. A and J could go to Aruba if they wanted to. Traveling to a tropical island is not an accomplishment.

I guess it depends on your attitude and life experiences. When I hear stuff like that my first overpowering thought is thank God I am not in Aruba.
