Hmmm. Poor Joel is startled from his sleep by the radio signal. Our hero is having a continuation of his bad luck (following the horrors he had to face last week trying with all his might to teach Rufus something).
If, as the radio transmission may suggest, he is going to soon be meeting Tom Corbett…. this could be VERY entertaining! I am just a bit curious about the idea of Jim possibly having Tom or at least some member of the Space Cadet crew come back in the form of that obnoxious fellow (damn, I cannot recall his name at the moment) who Jim has used several times recently as a recognizable 50s era obnoxious “salesperson” archetype.
Joel…. I would suggest you may want to get up (even though it is early), get dressed…. have breakfast, and a pipe or two…. and just be ready…. this could be a crazy ride.
So aliens are about to make First Contact and it’s gonna be with a semi-literate guy who lives in a toolshed with a mule? Something tells me this isn’t gonna end well.
