Reminds me of those idiots from that Florida city council meeting. Just as a refresher, many of them brought up stuff like “I have an immune system” and “God will protect us and you can’t run away from God even with 6 feet” etc.
It’s an old joke. First time I heard it was about a flood and the idjit turned down assistance three times. This one is … somewhat … different in that the flooded idjit killed mostly himself; but the vaxidjit is putting us ALL at risk.
Old joke: man prays incessantly for weeks, “Please, God, let me win the lottery”. God finally gets fed up and answers: “C’mon, Joe, you gotta meet me half way—buy a lottery ticket!”
God gave us brains. Yet many people refuse to use them. And yet they claim to believe in God. I think they only believe in their own greed, power and supremacy.
At one time the Church would burn doctors at the stake. The religious idiots claimed that doctors were interfering with the “Will of God”. We haven’t gotten much smarter, some of us.
Old, but apt, joke. Unfortunately for the idiot, he’s included in the group alluded to by the leader of the Albigensian Crusade prior to the massacre at Béziers on 22 July 1209 who allegedly said, “Kill them. For the Lord knows those that are His own.” In effect: “Kill them all; let God sort them out.”
There are some who refuse the vaccine due to religious reasons but then you have the media with their headlines seemingly daily that the J&J vaccine will cause blood clots. Out of 7 million people who have received the vaccine 6 have developed the blood clots, all women between the ages of 18 and 48. Talk about your 1 in a million shot and how many lives have been saved by the vaccine. There is much blame to go around but refusal on religious grounds is only a small percentage when you have some leaders promoting the idea that all of it is a government conspiracy to sterilize all black men.
“oy” ? BTW some public health professional have said that we would not achieve herd immunity in 2021. They must have seen the antivaxers at work before.
The Latino and African-American communities are under vaccinated. I would love to see this cartoonist put his skills to work towards getting this population vaccinated. Hopefully he believes they exist and matter.
Hahahaha. Great take on an old joke Robert. One of the few times I actually got a grin from all the political cartoons floating around. Seriously, refusing medical technology is one of the things I don’t get among the relatively few religious extremists of that sort. I’m no bible thumper, but my familiarity with the Bible shows nowhere that medicine of any kind is forbidden. Anyone know of any passage that says any such thing? Outside of religion, people have had a great distrust of new medical techniques and drugs going back thousands of. In some cases they were justified but cases of such malpractice is relatively rare. The horrible Tuskegee experiments come to mind. Anyway, I got mine and other than spending the day after the second shot in misery I’m fine.
I have several friends who believe Covid is a hoax, that they will inject a tracking chip into your arm and/or they are injecting people with water, etc. Stay safe and be well my friends.
I read that the Governor of West Virginia will pay $100 to those who get a Covid-19 vaccine shot. I’ll bet many will forsake their trust in God for the money. Maybe they will put the money in the offering plate on Sunday and ask to be forgiven or just spend it foolishly.
That is a very old joke. The version I heard about a little old lady and a massive flood. Flooding gets a foot deep and an ANG truck comes by asking her if she wants to leave. She says no, the Lord will save me. Flooding gets deeper, up to the second floor of her house, a boat comes by and once again she says the Lord will save me. Flood gets deeper, she is now on the roof of her house, a helicopter comes by and once again she turns them down saying the lord will save me.Flood gets deeper, she drowns, then asks God why he would not save her, Gods reply, Geeze lady what did you want? I sent you a truck, a boat and a helicopter.
Moral of story: the Christian version of God helps only those believers who help themselves
There’s a story on CNN that some private school in Miami is telling their teachers not to come back to work if they get vaccinated. They don’t want them mingling with their students. I would not spend money to send my kid there as the management is seriously insane.
Had my first jab yesterday. AstraZeneca, as I am over seventy. Feeling okay and twelve weeks from now I’ll get the second one. Two weeks from now I’ll get the current ’Flu shot, then look out world!!

Hopefully these type of folk trust in God to elect or select the “right” people to govern the U.S. and don’t go to the polls to help “him” out.
