I take exception to the term “Pet Senator”. That’s no pet. That’s an employee. Off the books of course, and (poor Senator) the ownership is shared among several corporations.
This definitely applies to a majority of the current Senators. Basically all the Repubbas as well as a fair number of the Democrats. I am mainly referring to the squad of Democrats who are threatening a mutiny of the infrastructure bill, led by DINO Joe Manchin. I suspect there are close to 10 of them, at least that is what Manchin states every time he opens his piehole about the corporate tax rate proposed being “unreasonable” (i.e: he’s been bought out). These are probably the same crew of non-progressive Democrats who balked at Bernie’s living wage of $15/hour though the conservative Manchin is the one who is taking pleasure and basking in the glory as the guy who thinks he is the most powerful dude in congress. I hope it will be payback time for Joe M when the Party in Blue picks up a Senate seat or 2 in 2022 and will not need to coddle the &%^&%$^ anymore. I am also sure that corporate America has its hooks in others as well besides the afore mentioned senators but currently this group is the one which is putting self interest and loyalty to the 1%ers over the common citizen who represents the working class!
The coming infrastructure upgrades will aid businesses that engage in interstate commerce through means of physical transportation. Roads that customers use to attend those businesses will be redesigned and improved, if done thoughtfully. All businesses ride the wave of public spending, whether they help pay for it or not.
OT, but another Black man has just been shot dead by a White cop in a Minneapolis suburb. The shooting is being “justified” because the kid (20yo) had an Outstanding Warrant (nobody’s saying what for, which suggests it was some offence that does NOT carry the death penalty).
Must be a new senator.. The proper response is “I will fix that” But that CEO needs to get a better accountant as well. Lots of refunds available if you do the books right as trump has shown the world.
I like the way the CEO is undeterred by the fact that there’s nothing more to pillage (apparently!) from the national “treasure” … Must be some guilty pleasure, can’t stop laughing.
Ted, it’s the Republicans that have made that possible. Some not only don’t pay taxes, but get refunds in the form of subsidies paid for by the tax payer.
I have yet to hear of a Repulsican campaign supporter or contributor refusing to accept their ill-gotten money from the Democrats. Hypocrisy is alive and thriving in the party of THE ORANGE IDIOT.

You got your refund in the form of a sports stadium paid for by taxpayers.

My opinion about the punishment for no taxers could be censored. I live in Italy and here tax evasion is near 120 billion euro every year.

Don’t forget the subsidies corporations also get, amounting to billions per year.

The CEO should point out “I need a refund so I can donate to your PAC”…

Where’s the refund? Coming right up, sir, to the tune of billions.

Does the CEO groom his pet legislator like Gaetz grooms his . . . interns?

And in the next breath, Ted will be railing at Biden for proposing a reasonable partial restoration of the corporate tax rate.

Some corporations already get money back, more on the way.
