The Black and Tans were recruited in Britain to undermine the IRA after WW1. T’was the beginnin’ a’ Th’ Throubles, so it was.

Black and Tan is a beer cocktail made by layering a pale beer (usually pale ale) and a dark beer (usually stout). According to the couple, yes there was speculation about the colour of the kiddie. But it came from within, not from Ireland.

I have zero sympathy for Meghan. She knew what she was getting into. And her friends warned her.

Black and Tan also refers to the British Police in Ireland during the 1920s when the Irish were struggling for independent before they won and split into What is now a n Independent Southern Ireland and “North Ireland” which is part of the United Kingdom, ie still part of Great Britain. “Black and Tan” has very BAD connotations in Ireland.

I sort of doubt it’s Ireland, given the Manchester scarf in the foreground.

The Black and Tan were also police militia in the Irish War of Independence. Either way the reference is a non sequitur.

Why did Danziger bother with this?

Regarding lack of sympathy because she was warned. Once I was in the wrong place at the wrong time, I was told to expect some severe pain, very severe. All the forewarning in the world cannot prepare the reality when it hits home. A reference point or context is needed. If it were to happen again I would understand, but not the first time.

There is no way she knew what she was getting into, nothing she had ever experienced in life even remotely touches on the venom she received, including those who’s attacks only hurt themselves. Hate is self replicating when encouraged publicly.

The problem isn’t “race” – but “culture” – Meghan is American – they simply do things differently – which in the UK seems impolite

Huh? A small nation about the size of Michigan exploits and oppresses countless millions of brown people in their “commonwealth” and then has severely ingrained racism as part of it’s culture. Who knew?
