And don’t you ever forget it.
Reminds of the neat slogan I have seen, “who rescued who?” I ask myself that almost daily…
My Bombay cat Oscar is very possessive of me. He would say, “You’re goldarn right I am your cat!” Or more accurately he would declare that I am his.
Whereas some cats will look at you like “Eddie Murphy Raw” and think, “You don’t own me!”
‘Dogs have owners, cats have staff.’
Dog: “They look after me, they feed me, they clean up after me and give me shelter – They must be my Gods!”
Cat: “They look after me, they feed me, they clean up after me and give me shelter – I must be their God!”
“And you are my hooman, fren.”
Love this strip.
Nate’s on the phone …
And yet when they ask “is that your kid” you don’t hesitate to say “no, I don’t know that kid doing weird stuff with the spray paint and the statue.”
Word mincers get licked.
This is mah hooman!
But obviously, Louie is in charge.

I was gonna say… Lizzie is MY dog, and don’t you forget it! She’d say the same thing about me being her human, if she could talk!
Nope. We have not owned any dogs. We have been in a few packs, but not owned any of them.
LANGUAGE Louie! It’s “golDERN”…
You’re my dog, dog !
“I’m gonna lick you until you cry for mercy!” ☺
Good afternoon Crew!
GWEEDO! HEY BUDDY!
The problem is not so much the possessive, it’s what is possessed. He’s my dog suggests ownership. He’s my best friend, or a member of My Family is different. And generally more accurate.
When I say “My dog”, I mean it in the same way I say “My kids”.
Louie is yours forever, Henry! Don’t you forget that.
Good evening, Crew!
Now that’s love.
