You’d think, though, that Spud would’ve learned to be on guard for Sterling by now, considering how often he visits. I mean, surely this isn’t the first time it’s happened.
Just realizing, this could have been a great standalone Halloween strip! I guess this is kind of a coda, if you will, to the Halloween arc where the scariest thing was Spud’s own face under the ghost costume. I wonder what happened with Sterling in the truck while his parents slept and the other kids trick or treated….
It occurs to me that Sterling has either a knack for this sort of thing or practice or both – that actually is a bit of a tricky thing to manage without pinching your fingers and actually landing on your target (sure, ask me how I know). When you push off on the door it swings more quickly meaning you have a different launch.

Aaannndddd The Feral One strikes again! But what has he done with Wallace?

Okay, this is good—once we see how Sterling immobilizes Spud, we’ll have a better idea of Sterling’s species.

The Spud family would rather, in lieu of flowers, you donate to your local charity. Amelia could not be reached for comment.

Just maybe Sterling will wrap Spud up in a blanket and save him for later.

I absolutely LOVE the “Wallace” that wraps around the door as Spud creeps in. Well drawn, Mr. Henry!!!

I like how in the last panel one of the little startled creatures appears to be a whale. :-)
