Product Placement: Check the ad in the bus booth.

I thought the same thing, at first, Susan, but after looking at it a second time, I came to the conclusion that it’s the vehicles moving in the background, obscuring the ad in the bus shelter.

In Toronto, Recycling and Garbage are every other week - week 1 Garbage, week 2 Recycle … so it’s a money waster. Both weeks we get to toss our ‘food scraps’ out as well, and the city turns it into compost, which is then usually given away across the city on designated days for use in the gardens.

what is the joke about Pearls Before Swine? I don’t read that comic

I’ve read it a few times and thought it was pretty lame.

I missed getting my bin out to the curb today.

“Pearls Before Swine” (which can be found at Comics.com) is my favorite strip, and it sometimes uses clever puns. One of their all-time greatest:

Archie and Tina are cafe owners who offer rye toast dunked in espresso, and a customer calls out, “Dunk rye for me, Arch and Tina!” (Say it aloud and you’ll get it.)

Even the swipes are more subtle here. ;)

And for the record, I’m a HUGE fan of the bad pun.
