Milford’s lack of depth exposed. Just as the writers’ lack of talent was long ago.

What was wrong with her arms? Mimi should have placed her on a stool and kept her out to pitch.

I’m pretty sure the girl in P3 is the Tatum O’Neil character from Bad News Bears. She’s going to pitch for the reform school and throw a no hitter against Milford.

P3- Must be a flashback to June 2017 when they were in middle school.

P1 – Mimi signals for a left turn of her head.

P2 – Must be an away game, based on the color version. This field actually has a dirt infield, as opposed to Milford’s putting green surface.

P3 – Okay, “no charge for that” is a joke, fine. But “and there never will be”? That sounds really stupid. Like why would that even be a thing?

Now that I’ve read the comments – is that actually a girl in P3? I assumed it was a guy, and I was going to predict where this was going. He’s either this stud pitcher with potential major league talent that will fan 18 Mudlarks in the pickup game, or he’s a stud hitter who will hit 3 home runs and lead them to an upset.

Now if it is a girl, I guess she would still play, a la Tatum O’Neal as someone above predicted. But If she ends up being more talented than any of the boys on either team, then I’ll need my protégé to come and clean up the floor after I get sick.

I hope that picture Mimi took in panel one comes out alright. The way her left eye flashed it looks like the picture might be washed out.
