    Ah, the US was supposed to INVADE Libya? That’s exactly what a unilateral intervention would have been. It would also have been an act of aggressive war, which is forbidden under international law and the UN Charter. Haven’t we learned our lesson, yet: Vietnam, Panama, Haiti, Lebanon, the Balkans, Afghanistan, Iraq?

    A U.N. sanctioned solution with support from the Arab League and military contribution from France, U.K., Italy, Spain, Canada, Denmark, and several Arab countries is progress. So far so good. Kudos to the Obama administration and the international community.
