That cowboy is only part of the group. He didn’t draw the miner and the oil driller. Anyone who knows the range and public lands knows the cowboy isn’t getting the money, it’s the corporate ranch owner, oil company CEOs and Mining companies.
^National Forest and BLM yes, NPS, no. Public grazing is $1.35/aum, which IS dirt cheap. Cattle ARE the real over-grazing problem, but feral horses ARE a problem, and burros should ALL be eliminated totally from public land.
^ Tell you what, MY tax dollars can go to fund the poetic cowboy (if he learns a new limerick) and YOUR tax dollars can go fund subsidies to the oil companies.
Churchie, I’m very familiar with cowboy poets, living amongst a number of them. I also believe in supporting cultural values with tax dollars(even mine!), as opposed to handing out trillions of dollars in subsidies to oil companies and “rich folk”. I also still have a sense of humor, despite what necons have done to our country.
Now if those same neocon supporters just realized how many of their tax dollars are being used to support the super-rich, and make them richer-and tax exempt (it isn’t the alleged “maximum tax rate”, but the EXEMPTIONS that keep the rich from actually paying taxes).
btw, 2/3 of American corporations from 1998 through 2005 paid NO INCOME TAX WHATSOEVER!! How does that float your “my tax dollars” boat??
^ Yeah, and so will cutting taxes on the wealthiest few and cutting the IRS’s ability to go after tax cheats and dodgers. ‘Cause like the Republicans tell us, the surest way to solve the deficit is to collect LESS money.

Due to “deductions”- the “maximum potential tax rate” is totally meaningless, for corporate or private “income”, or even on capital gains.
Well, yes I guess for Republicans to consider Palin or Newt viable, honest, and “trustworthy” candidates DOES require a sense of humor.
