With 25% of the world’s energy consumption and 3% of the world’s energy reserves, the United States is inevitably dependent upon outside energy supplies unless an alternative is found or we vastly reduce our consumption. It is going to run out, anyway, why not get started now in finding a viable alternative? Either that, or it doesn’t matter where the oil is, we’ll eventually drill for every last drop, burn it ‘til the climate is unrecognizable, then run out and do… what?

It’s not a crisis as long as Texas oilmen (aka, Bush & Co.) are still making a profit. We don’t have to do anything until it becomes a crisis. Therefore, keep on trucking. No worries.

As the cost of gas goes up, alternative energy becomes more viable. If they want to price themselves out of the market some one will find a cheaper method.

ZZAZZ: You do realize that the US produces 25% of the world’s goods, right?

^maybe a long time ago, we all know China producces much more.

And if in a year the US produced 0 %, the production would move somewhere else.

What are we supposed to do until the Messiah comes? Affordable green power is a long ways off.

Â cleaner energy is not a messiah that comes from Heaven for no reason, it’s something we have to work hard to get.

FROG said “Maybe a long time ago”

”The U.S. produces approximately 21% of the world’s manufacturing output, a number which has remained unchanged for the last 40 years.” - Wikipedia

^ Why don’t you do some research instead of always talking out of you azz? When you said ”Maybe a long time ago”, I proved you wrong with a stat that said US manufacturing had remained constant for the past 40 years. Now you spew the same old garbage that the US doesn’t export anything anymore. For your info, the US is still the number 3 exporter, slightly behind Germany. (The US exports $1.27 Trillion, China, $1.5 Trillion)

Go back to regurgitating the sorry line that the US is a declining power. It’s what your professors taught you in school.
