Let’s use it as a launching pad for a more coherent story. The premise of Lini and the hateful website was good, but too often panels were wasted with glimpses of a girls’ game that went nowhere. Either focus on the boys’ team or the girls’ team. Trying to keep both going in the same season just doesn’t work.
Gil better not lean back too far, or he’s going to go crashing right through that plate glass window. Maybe there should be an investigation into the obvious ties between certain members of the Milford School Board and the plate glass window industry. Follow the money!
Lini seems like a nice kid. Why not drop the “is he gay or not” stuff and treat him like just another high schooler, as much as possible, so that what he asks Gil is something like, “What colleges should I apply to?” or “Do you know of any summer jobs? I need to earn money for college.”
P.S. I think the bodies of Gil and Mimi’s kids may be stuffed in their closets.
Milford always has multiple dunkers on their team, obviously an athletic/tall team, yet they never make the playdowns. Gil has been getting a free pass for too long, still living off that championship from……I can’t remember when….20 years ago?????

Yes, jterran, but how many schools do you know of where one guy coaches football, basketball and baseball? Milford is saving a bundle. Either Milford’s not in a union state or Gil forgot to join.
Coach Rockwell at Valley Falls High coached football, basketball and baseball until he became an assistant at State when Chip, Soapy and the gang graduated.

No districts in this state. You have to qualify for the playdowns, although that was never explained. I’m guessing you have to win the conference?
