She shouldn’t worry. Her teammates will love the kid, and be so inspired they’ll all go out and get one of their own.

Ah, it’s the teenage girl with the kid (is she married?) story line.Nothing against the girl or her pitching, but really how “ultra-liberal” and understanding can we get in GilThorpland? And, of course, she’s a white Caucasian teenager—those immoral and over-sexed WASPy types.

Yes, how about a championship for Milford? It’s overdue. And a bonfire! Enough tattoos. Tattoo and feather the guy and get back to sports (and where are the Thorp kids hinted about a number of strips back? Were the Thorp kids really imaginary tattoos?).

What? What! The return of the lost kids from the slave laborcamp where they were put to toughen up? Amazing! Now the strip can turn fully soap opera, with full-blown Oedipus complex stories and the like. Can hardly wait.

Very much like the story line. But Gil shouldn’t touch Brody, even on the shoulder. Many Asperger’s people have an extremely difficult time being touched (and we’re not talking Penn State here).

I like Al-Jo, and hope good things happen for her. Terrific teen!

Lini seems like a nice kid. Why not drop the “is he gay or not” stuff and treat him like just another high schooler, as much as possible, so that what he asks Gil is something like, “What colleges should I apply to?” or “Do you know of any summer jobs? I need to earn money for college.”

P.S. I think the bodies of Gil and Mimi’s kids may be stuffed in their closets.

I thought this was one of the best story lines the strip has ever had. Thanks to all! And great about “Goggles” (like the way he’s drawn, too) taking care of business. Shows the new tolerance of today’s generation. But, ok, can get back to some more sports now (and especially since Gil and Mimi’s children went down with the Titanic). Hey, writers and artists, seriously, we remember the kids. Could you somehow bring them back or definitely disappear them? Maybe, uh, they were always foster kids and Gil and Mimi had only temporary custody and now they’ve been taken away by social workers and moved to another foster home?

I like the guy in panel 2 scratching his head in sheer bewilderment!

That’s not her hand. That’s a statue of a big, really big hand! It was done in tribute to Stevie Smith’s great poem, “Not Waving, But Drowning.”
