I remember 2002. YTV ran re-runs of 1960s classic Thunderbirds, and there were several characters smoking!
I thought” No wonder they run those at 10 PM, that stuff wouldn’t pass today!”
Maybe we’d have better movies and music, like the ones in the 1960s and 1970s if people worried less about what not to put in there (no violence, no sexism, no smoking) and more about what to put in.
^ I agree with lalas. By all means, go see “Rango”. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed it, but I’d like to see it again without the kids so I can take in more of the dialogue. The artwork is absolutely fantastic and realistic. But beware: Rango is not just a kiddie flick, and some parents might not want their children exposed to some scenes. There is plenty of violence, black humor and totally un-PC dialogue to appeal to the “adults” out there, and smoking is the least concern.

I plan to see it later in the week but that’s no excuse for parents not paying attention to what their children do.

If you think your kid is going to imitate a lizard, maybe you have more problems than just smoking.

I’m sure the violence in it is totally unimportant.

So i guess all the killing in movies makes all the kids want to kill.

It certainly makes them more blasé about what they see on the news.

^Don’t worry the 24-hour media circus un-blasés them.
