Some people hoard TP, pasta, cans of veggies, etc. for the pandemic.

They bought 2 months of ice cream. Problem is, it’s all gone after two weeks of lock down. The canned peas are still all there.

ROFLOL I think most of us understand this! I’m on my second container of Hersey’s Chocolate Syrup.

One cannot live by Ice Cream alone. But I’m gonna try!

I’m sure I’m not the only retiree gracing these comments, but I realized so many years of retirement has been so many years of training just for this. When it came time to stock up we were pretty well already set, so I laid in a two month supply of our weakness – Hostess Suzy Qs, and then found a couple more. We treat ourselves to a frozen one each evening.

We bought one container of chocolate chip mint ice cream (no syrup needed). My husband asked if I wanted some last night and I said no, I had some for lunch. He opened the container and said Wow! Well, it was really two lunches.

Boxes of ice cream sandwiches here. I say the freezer mice ate ’em.

I’ve actually LOST weight during the quarantine. I’m not free to snack at the office or pick up a second breakfast at Taco Bell or have all-you-can-eat Chinese or Indian. True story.

Ice cream gets a rap but it’s all the other stuff that counts.

At my local Stop & Shop the ice cream freezers, were literally empty; 2 days after the lockdown began around the middle of March. Fortunately I’m one of those people who only likes ice cream in the summer months.

A two month supply of Ice Cream is what they have at the grocery store. It would not fit in my freezer.

We’ve stopped buying ice cream. Not intentionally but it turns out not to be a priority during Q. Never would have thought it.

Glad she could go out and not run into people – we took a walk and spent most of our time crossing the 4 lane main road we live on to avoid others who were about to walk into us and didn’t care.

Husband figured we bought 2 weeks of food. Now, granted we are eating 1/2-2/3 of what we normally eat, we have past the 2 weeks and I figure we have around another month’s worth of food here at least.
