    Do we count the Jewish people as minorities or did that go out in the 60s after they funded the Civil Rights Movement?

    Of course, the Oscars aren’t about recognizing the best of things, it’s about making political statements. Didn’t you know that?

    That’s why they’re called minorities. There’s fewer of them than the majority so they’re not often represented in small groups like the Oscar nominees. Also, it’s just the Oscars so who cares?

    I remember in the old Westerns that indians were often played by blue eyed, blonde haired caucasians, and they were usually portrayed as evil.
