I looked at an electrical junction box the other day and said to myself: “self, that’s wrong.” Then I went through the expense and bother to rewire it the way I thought it should be wired. What a PITA. Now I have to do it all over again because it was right in the first place. Arrggghhhh!
When you have to lie to the electrician when he sees the wiring and says WTF and you say it was like that when you bought the house knowing full well your DIY hubby messed with it you know you have a hubby that needs to STAY AWAY from DIY projects.!!!
When we bought this house 30 years ago, the electric stove was wired so the outside of it was connected to a live wire. (I.E. where the ground wire should have been.) Luckily the ground prong was cut off the refrigerator plug beside it, or, if someone had touched both, they would have fried instantly! (The previous owner commented that the stove never did work right! I wonder why!!)

what is it about guys that do not do repairs, when a repair needs to be done, they refuse to get someone who can do it right the first time??

If Jon had called a plumber, we wouldn’t have this cartoon.

I think its the roof leaking.. not the plumbing
Justice22 about 13 years ago
Yep. Show’s why some of the contributors shouldn’t do their own repair. Pay a plumber a $75 service fee to be told they need a roofer.

It’s raining; it’s pouring. The old man is snoring. He bumped his head on the top of the bed, And couldn’t get up in the morning.
