The US women have finished 1st, 2nd, or 3rd every year they have competed. The men finished 3rd in 1930 and seem to be going backward ever since.

Sad that they have to be 1st to be considered as good as the men’s 3rd. But there’s still that money thing…

Not only that, but womens soccer is far better to watch. Parity in sports is one of the last glass ceilings to shatter. Could it be that the reason prizes are so different is because the powers that be are men????

I like watching the 6 year olds playing before they learn all the rules, and even though inept, they are just having fun. Sadly, it’’s kinda’ like watching Bonespurs and klan running the government.

USWNT deserves equal pay but in sports it always comes down how much revenue is truly generated between men and women. I hope they can prove their case.

The 2018 French Men’s team took home $38 MILLION for their win. The ENTIRE POT of prize money for the 2019 Women’s WC was $30 million. Let me put it this way: The US Women’s team gets FOUR MILLION DOLLARS for their win. The bottom 16 teams in the 2018 WC took home EIGHT MILLION DOLLARS EACH. The message FIFA sends to women is this: “the BEST Women’s team is only worth half as much as the WORST Men’s team.” FIFA invests very little in the Women’s WC. They never wanted it to even exist. THIS is part of the legacy of Sepp Blatter and his terminal sexism have wrought on FIFA and they seem unwilling to clean up their act on ANY level….
