Defending a 40 year voting record is very, very difficult – unless you are a one trick pony like Bernie. Biden’s message seems to be vote for me because you know me and I am me – and that is not enough. Keep an eye on Warren, she looks like the real thing.

Poor ol’ Smilin’ Joe has been a politician for so long that there must be inconsistencies, errors and gaffes on record; plus he really still doesn’t quite get why an arm around the shoulders isn’t a good thing. I’m sad to say that I doubt he can be nominated, because geeze, he really really wants it. On the other hand, I’m happy to see Warren moving up: I think she’s a much better candidate (despite also being old).
