I like finding symbolism In film, but I wonder if there is any in Laurel and Hardy.

This reminds me of an afterword in a book of short stories by Orson Scott Card where he talked about reading all these intense analysis of one of his stories that kind of blew his mind because all he was thinking when he wrote it was “this would be funny.”
