Call the team the Escargots … that would be more majestic, wouldn’t it?

How about changing it to “Killer Snails” or “Zombie Snails”?

I once coached a soccer team called the “Green Lightning,” but the team mom couldn’t spell so our banner (and team photos) read “Green Lighting.”

If UC Santa Clara can have the Banana Slugs, I see no reason why Snug Harbor can’t have its Snails.

Snails are carnivorous with so many teeth an with the slime generated glide over razors uncut.
