You’re happy because it’s weekend eve. Time to celebrate with some chocolate cake and some fast food take-out.

OK, now I KNOW we’d be fast friends if we lived closer to each other! Anyone that can work a RAM reference into a strip, is awesome in my book. And now, back to my EPIC manual…

(I love that album. “Smile Away” always gets me in a good mood)

Late, but here’s a poser – did you ever see the video that went with Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey when it first came out? (You were probably a decade or two too young, I suspect.) It was a little unusual inasmuch as it was long, long before music videos were a thing and this was in the UK, too.

IIRC it used Yellow Submarine characters exactly like those in the movie but these scenes were drawn specifically for the song – I remember – one of the recurrent motifs displayed when the chorus “Hands Across the Water” was playing was that you’d see The Dreadful Flying Glove tracing an arc across the screen leaving a rainbow as it did so. (A benevolent Dreadful Flying Glove?)

Nearest thing you can find to it at all, now, is something by The McCartney Project on Youtube.
