Val: I've cut back her food, taken her on more walks...but the dog's still gaining WEIGHT.
Joan: Maybe there's some OTHER problem.
Alix: Hey, Holly, WATCH!! Biscuit can catch a ginger snap in MID-AIR!
Some bodyshort here is the problem. I am taking on-line courses for real. Working with Basic English. I have seen so far one major problem. We do get to practice with brief sentence’s sturcture. The lab we are working with has warned of problems with run-ons as being very difficult. When I look at the sentence with run ons to me I see no problem there are a lot of comas. What I am looking for someone who is a English major I can work with on sentences. I don’t need perfection. This sentence I have to work with does change. I just wish the lab we work with help with sentence structure before the test just like it does practice test, only give grade. There are other parts of English I do understand. Me I use fragments more then I thought.
KAB: I know you are in Kansas, probably not too far from me in OK. My suggestion would be to read as much as you can work into your schedule, not particularly for the content of the story, but of the sentence structure. I grew up with a book glued to the end of my nose and still read a lot. And don’t hurry when you are posting.
@♥kab♥ buch, I am not an English major either, but I know enough about the language (my native language) to help.
I have another suggestion for you. How about reading some simple children’s stories? You should be able to find some that have enough sentences in them to make it a challenge, but not so complicated as to look hopeless.
Now I know how to make ♥’s! (Hold down the left [Alt] key, press and release the [3] on the numeric keypad, and then release the [Alt] key.) Whee!!
Hello everyone I read all your suggestions about reading children’s books. Somebodyshort your right I am from KS just a little south of ICT. I have done a little on run-ons have it on hold. Those symbols are fun. using alt key.
There is a very long sheet that uses different symbols and for my pt job I finally got to use this for temp. ° very cool.
For run-ons I did tried two methods. From the test I can’t select control A or copy and paste wouldn’t work. I wanted to put on MS word document see what would happen. I realize some are in a different time zone neat knowing Somebodyshort your in Montreal, Canada is this right.
Another one I correspond lives southeast of ICT small area and plans to move near future.
Mythreesons I won’t ask where in OK your at for privacy sake. Last year 4 of us went to big city to see Federal museum that was blasted 15 years ago. Federal ought to mandate all schools ought to teach all children what happened that awfully day. In all schools.

I did make sure to check “Stone Soup” on comics.com. I wonder why there were two versions.

SOMEBODYSHORT: What time do the comics change? I hit the sack about 11pm, and never though to see if new ones were up.
