I don’t enjoy anticipating death, and I definitely don’t want it right away.

Looks like Hobbes finally decided to try out that “Suicide Slope” Calvin was talking about.

I do agree with Hobbes here. Though death is something that will come. But I would like to stave it off for as long as possible. Our society is too primitive to affect it much. No neural storage, not body replication possible with implantation. No longevity extensions for our bodies…

Death – an end and beginning, depending on your point of view.

I’ve done this sort of thing, riding down a long, fairly steep snowy hillside in Moonlight. Then going back and discovering I had just gone under a strand of barbed wire!

To be perfectly honest, I’m not interested in living forever. (At least not on earth!) I’d rather get out while the gettin’ out is good; I don’t want to be bedridden, drooling, incontinent . . .

Most kids want everything right away! They want to go into jobs as CEOs . Do not want to take the time to work their way up. I’ve known too many!

According to Shakespeare’s version of Julius Caesar “Cowards die many times before their deaths. The valiant taste death but once.”

Of course, Caesar faced death many times in battle before being murdered by “his friends”.
