The party would only be expensive if you bought pirate themed stuff for all of the kids. You can just give them to your kid and the kids whose parents prepped their kid and beat up the other kids with their fake swords.
My whole family went to a Halloween party once dressed as pirates. I made wooden swords for everybody, we all wore ragged pirate clothes, the little boys wore bandanas, my wench wore a long skirt and a low-cut bodice, we decorated the car…. As far as I can recall the only money we spent was to buy a pirate captain tricorn hat for me, and a pirate flag for the car antenna. I brought my guitar and sang “Ship of Fools.”

You can dress your child like a pirate cheap.
All you have to do is take your child to the Harley Davidson retailer. Aren’t most Harley riders dressing up like pirates?

Eye patches and scarves aren’t expensive, and just tell all of them to talk like pirates. As an added bonus, you can have them swab your deck… ☺
