It took the American people, seemingly as warlike as the two-party oligarchy, almost 15 years to realize how stupid the Domino Theory was and grow weary of the endless war in Vietnam. Trump is all in on the war state, he’s just trying to do a favor for his buddy Erdogan, but even that little bit evokes outrage from the establishment.
I think the main point here is how the U.S. is a military empire bent on permanent global war, and any politician who makes even a feeble call for peace is typically attacked from all directions.
Like father like son. My (almost) 4 year old son, little Matthew Garcia (named after Jerry), picked up a Nerf rifle this morning that’s almost as tall as him and said, “If Donald Trump comes through the door, that’s what he gets!” and pulled the trigger.
According to Fox News anchors, the shutdown is just an inconvenience. Maybe they should learn the inconvenience of going without a paycheck themselves.
Much talk today about Trump showing serious instability over the last 48+ hours. Something is very, very wrong with him. Even the GOP sees something dangerous. This is a narcissist confronted with shame and failure. They will do ANYTHING to avoid it.
In case no one else has mentioned it yet, Democrats and most of the (even corporate) media has been on the “Trump sucks page” for a long time. It’s only the Republicans who are (some of them) beginning to see the light.
