In Florida you can check the weather and the reports will change by time you have cleared the runway, especially going towards the keys. I’ve left Homestead, on a bright sunny day, and by time I was halfway across the 7-mile bridge it was clouding up in Key West (approx 110 miles away)

Typical Florida tropical weather. Fast-moving fronts that are deadly and unforseen. Pop-up thunderstorms that just happen out of nowhere, etc.
I learned to fly in that kind of weather, and it was really scary.
