    We all know that the FBI investigation was nothing more than a perfunctory dog-and-pony show.

    The only way to counteract this appointment is for every Democrat to convince every voter to get out and vote! If the Dems control Congress they can ameliorate the Trumster’s actions.

    “He may be a lying, perverted alcoholic, but he’s OUR lying, perverted alcoholic, and that’s ALL that counts!”

    It will be really neat to have another Republican sex pervert on the Supreme court.

    And the stories of those other 40 witnesses will come out one at a time.

    What goes around comes back around.

    On the bright side, Trump now has Hannity and Kavanaugh for his late night, 3-way, PJ wearing phone chats. Who hangs up first?

    @twb21847 There are quite a few incorrect statements in your comment:

    1. the Democrats did not dredge up a 30-year old accusation; Dr Rose made it voluntarily before Kavanaugh’s nomination was announced;

    2. the Democrats did not hide the allegation; they respected Dr Rose’s request for confidentiality, which appears to have stymied attempts to bring the accusation to the President (an apparent weakness in the system);

    3. “Unprovable and spurious at best” is your opinion; many reasonable people (and all who have experience dealing with sexual assault victims) disagree with you;

    4. “temperment” covers a lot; a witness who attacks his questioners, questions his questioners, avoids answering questions and endlessly repeats talking points to use up his questioners limited time is not a witness doing his best to tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth;

    5. there is a difference between having a conservative ideology and being a hyper-partisan; one is acceptable in a Supreme Court justice and one is not,

    Kavanaugh’s confirmation puts an inappropriate person on the Supreme Court.

    The system is broken and may never be fixed. The nomination of Marland Garrick proved that. The confirmation of Kavanaugh is just further evidence.
