They all know. Even Bob Corker said that there was no surprise, because they’ve all known. Since Day One.
They all know, but the TrumpubliCON RussiapubliCON puppets cower in fear of a base of Nazis and KKKONfederates and refuse to honor their role as an independent, co-equal branch of government and exercise authoritative oversight.
Maybe it was one person who wrote the anonymous op/ed. Maybe it was several together. But even if it was just one, he/she represented the views of many others.
What Comrade-cadet Bonespurs-trumpski hasn’t figured out yet, (as if he COULD) is that the more he protests and whines about the Op-Ed, or Woodward’s book, the MORE he’s encouraging people to subscribe to the “failing” N.Y.T., and buy the book! In a tough environment for journalism, The New York Times Company continued to post significant subscriber growth, propelling the company to a healthy 2017.The company said on Thursday that it added 157,000 net digital-only subscriptions in the fourth quarter of the year, pushing overall subscription revenue to more than $1 billion for the year. Subscription revenue now accounts for 60 percent of the company’s total revenue.Buoyed by the growth in digital subscriptions, total revenue for the year increased 8 percent, to $1.7 billion, and 10 percent in the fourth quarter, to $484 million. The Times Company had more than 2.6 million digital-only subscriptions, which include news, cooking and crossword products, at the end of 2017. Digital-only subscription revenue increased 46 percent last year, to $340 million, and 51 percent in the quarter, to $96 million. Subscription revenue for the year increased 15 percent. For the quarter, it rose 19 percent, to $269 million.
Bob Woodward’s book “Fear” is already one of the biggest publishing success stories of the year. And it still isn’t even in bookstores yet.The publisher, Simon & Schuster, said Monday that it is printing one million copies of the book to keep up with reader demand.“Fear: Trump in the White House” will officially come out on Tuesday in both hardcover and e-book form.“We have reprinted six times for a total of seven to meet extraordinary demand — that will put one million books in print before we’ve even gone on sale,” a Simon & Schuster spokesperson told CNN.When the book was announced back in July, there was an immediate surge of pre-order sales, given Woodward’s credibility and intense interest in what he had uncovered about the Trump White House.
We should be grateful that Trump is so easily distracted. Trump spends his days tweeting, watching Fox News, visiting his properties, golfing and attending campaign rallies. Imagine how much more trouble we’d be in if he did his job. #Scary.
Just because everybody could probably use a spirit-lifter today (9/11), recall that Barack Obama was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize after less than 9 months in the White House. Now try to imagine what awards (Nobel, Oscar, Grammy, Olympic medal, Pulitzer — Bob Woodward has 2, BTW — Fields medal, Purple Heart, etc.) his successor would ever qualify for.

If they gave everyone a chance to kick him at $5 per kick, we could balance the budget and take a sizable bite out of the deficit!

They’re “resistance” in the same sense that Himmler and Goering “resisted” der Fuehrer.
