We got peacocks here who are that unconcerned with what goes on around them.
Hunting tactic #22….Be quite and pretend your are doing something else…..Then pounce when the prey is close.

One of my little guys, not exactly a Mensa candidate, used to lie beneath the bird feeder. I think he thought one might fly into his open mouth.
Most cats are ambush predators anyway.
Even mighty huntresses need a nap now and then.
