I see both criminal charges and a civil lawsuit in someone’s future.

It’s not so much the sidebets as it is the Principal of the thing.

Just one of the problems when Dad is a teacher at your school.

My older brother use to get in fights with a kid next door. My Dad and the other kid’s dad would come out to watch it; not intervening. The kid next door had always won the fight. One day my brother finally was winning, and the father of the kid next door tried to pull my brother off. My Dad grabbed the father and pulled him away, telling him to let it continue like they always had. Apparently the kid’s dad was fine with the fight as long, and his son was winning.

Finals of the rock, paper, scissors, tournament.

There’s at least one grownup in the room.

I’m missing the point here.

The adult is the only one who looks happy about this, the kids look very doubtful and unhappy. At least they have some sense.

Is that teacher taking or placing bets?

I had a different take on it, as a retired teacher. I figured the cheering teacher was hoping both would be expelled.
