    I’m looking forward to some tamales I made yesterday followed by a thick juicy porterhouse t-bone. Oh yeah, just got the blackeyed peas going.

    Hmm! That sounds good, Adam. I think I’ll make up a batch of chili today. My Westie loves chili. He generates enough gas to heat the house for two days!

    Old southern tradition. Eating blackeyed peas on New Year’s Day is supposed to be good luck. I’ve always hated them, but had to eat a few to make my grandmother happy.
