A bitter sweet victory for the some 14,000 service men and women who were unfairly drummed out during DADT.

i see a jump in the number of navy overboard “suicides”, now that you don’t have to catch ‘em in the Act, to discover ‘em.

I hope the bill does more than merely repeal DADT. Pre-DADT they would ask, if you said yes they threw you out. If you lied and said no they also punished you for lying about it.

Repeal isn’t enough, they have to make it legal for gays to serve.

I haven’t read the bill. They probably included that, but it’s never mentioned.

USMC Gen. James Amos opposed the lifting of DADT because of what he had heard from the Marines now serving, about the issue.

But Dems and Libs are politicizing the US Military and Constitutional duties to defend America be trashed! (many standards keep all sorts of volunteers from serving in the US Military….IQ….Overweight….etc…all acceptable as standards under civil rights)

The military is not a democracy. If it were, we wouldn’t have ever allowed Blacks, Jews, or women into the forces. Nor would they do pushups.

This one is a no-brainer, and it’s perfectly clear which position strengthens national security. The military lost 59 Arabic translators due to DADT. Is there any single argument on the other side that is as measurable and devastating as that one single fact?

He forgot to mention, as he spat in the face of one particular soldier, that the first soldier to be seriously injured in the Iraq war is gay.

There are also women marines. If you are so worried about distractions, then you should push to have women removed from the military entirely. Y’know, since the majority of men are straight, and obviously using your bigoted logic they don’t know how to behave professionally.

The toon actually illustrates a great point…it proves that the repeal of DADT had nothing to do with the military, but everything to do with a homosexual agenda. The Lefties loathe the military anyway; they aren’t concerned with the best Armed Forces possible.

DTP, which God? The Old Testament God who authorized the Jews to kill every man, woman, and child in Palestine so they could take the Promised Land for their own? Or Jesus, who hung out with tax collectors and prostitutes and said “love your neighbor as yourself,” without qualification? And the research shows that much of the content of the Pauline letters was either mixing the response with the letter, or was inserted by early Church fathers with an axe to grind (e.g., the ridiculous comments about women, when St. Paul actually named a woman as one of the apostles!).

The Bible tells us Jesus appeared in the flesh before huge multitudes of people before he died, and a tiny handful afterwards. If he’d reversed that, it might have been more convincing.

Jesus, of course, said nothing about homosexuality, but much about judging the sins of others.

The military-industrial complex throws medals at our troops who die in suicide missions: at least their side claims they get a harem of virgins. Now considering Afghan culture, some of those virgins may ACTUALLY be little boys– but fighting and dying is what it all boils down to.

Actually, I’m wearing a Santa hat as I type this. It’s black shag, and the trim and pom are “Mongolian Smoke” (I made it myself). It’s very cool, and I’ve been wearing it pretty much non-stop for a week.
