Just a glimpse of red-state politics in the era of Trump. The negativity coming out of this GOP primary should be enough to give Donnelly fodder for the general election. None of these guys could get elected on their own merit, so it will be up to the GOP to decide which one was the most vicious to the other two, and send him on to attack the Democrat. They each promise to be a better friend to Donald John than the other two, and they all promise to be Christian, white, male, straight and get back at anyone who isn’t.

Indiana has open primaries so voters don’t have to be registered with a party, but they are allowed to vote on only one ticket – not bounce from race to race. Many won’t bother with voting in the primaries. That gives a way a decision that matters. And the Republicans are running candidates like they know the middle is going to stay home. These candidates are selling the extreme, but this race will define Tippecanoe County for the next four years. Go pull a ballot that gives you the maximum say and make your mark! Go vote in primaries, caucuses, mid-term, special and presidential elections.

This is an example of Trump’s business strategy. Vetting is not a concept he uses much.
