Yes, more gun control until it becomes enough to stop all the deaths, or at least bring the United States on a par with the rest of the civilized world.
The UNarmed guy at the waffle house didn’t, he acted. Something Congress has the ammunition for, but won’t fire. That cash goes a long way to sponsor milktoasts.
More ? “More” implies that there are already some functioning gun control regulations in place now. Clearly that’s not the case. It’s very difficult to take guns away from anyone, even someone who shows obvious signs of mental illness.
Since the 2nd amendment says that the right to bear arms shall not be infringed, then ammunition should be made MUCH harder to get. You can bear the arms all you want, it will just be more difficult to load them.
I expect that most people viewing this cartoon will think it’s about guns, but please focus on what’s really important. No matter what your #1 social concern is — be it guns or accountability, aging, agriculture, animal welfare, children, climate change, drugs, economic growth, energy independence, the environment, fair elections, free markets, health care, homeland security, hunger and nutrition, immigration, jobs, mass incarceration, militarism, minority rights, national debt, net neutrality, pensions, population, poverty, privacy, religious liberty, schools, tax policy, veterans, waste disposal, water, worker safety, you name it — it’s a lost cause as long as the super-rich can buy public policy with their giant, expensive megaphones that drown out the voices of the common people.
The root problem obstructing all your worthy causes is big money in politics! And until we all move fixing that up to the top of our respective agendas, it’ll continue to be.
While it is still accessible, check out New York Times, 8 March 2018, pages A14-15. It lists the required steps for owning a gun in fifteen countries. Only Yemen has fewer requirements than the US – or more gun deaths per capita, although most deaths there are from US bombs dropped by Saudi aircraft.
NRA got more money from Russia-linked sources than earlier reported
McClatchy reported in January that the FBI was investigating whether Torshin, a deputy governor of Russia’s central bank, sent money to the NRA in an effort to secretly boost Trump’s presidential campaign. Campaign records show that the NRA was Trump’s biggest supporter, spending about $30 million on him during the campaign, a much larger amount than it has spent on previous presidential candidates.
Money is more important than lives to the GOP. We need the real pro-life party – Democrats – to give us sensible laws on guns so we stop getting shot everywhere we go.

It’s typical that some NRA ‘fans’ are talking about ‘van control’. They grasp at the flimsiest of straws.

That politician looks are if he has a load in his pants. As they say, politicians and diapers should be changed often, and for the same reason.

Are you kidding? The pols are doing a happy dance, because their payoffs from the gun lobbyists are going to skyrocket.
