Just what exactly is going on around here these days? Women fighter pilots become heroes, white Christian men become terrorists and gun down people, a black man without a gun stops him, the police DON’T kill him. Isn’t anyone reading the script any more?
^ I have a story for you. Last summer, about 800 of my closest friends and I ran a Half-Ironman Triathlon. We swam 2 km, biked for 90 km, then ran for 21 km. I didn’t win (I’m 67 years old); didn’t even come close, yet I and everyone who had the guts and determination to finish that race got a medal because the organizers thought that effort was worth some recognition. Now, I’m sure you couch potatoes think something like that is no big deal and only the first place guy should get a medal but anyone who does these things knows every participant is worthy of respect.
There is something about training to land a 15M$ aircraft on a 1092’ non stable landing strip in the dark, that gives one ovaries of steel. And you also have to train to do it with only one engine. Heck it wouldn’t surprise me if she had a dead-stick landing in her jacket.

Or any of your female pilots – we’d just feel more comfortable, because we know how male pilots are.
