Not wanting to bother looking through the rules for whether this was allowed, the officials decided to allow the player to take a one-stroke penalty and play his ball from a dropped position of one club-length from the now-comatose spectator’s feet. None of the other players, nor anyone in the crowd, contested this decision.”

    In the midst of roaring crowds, a hitter can hit a curve ball that was originally going for his head, and an end can catch a 40-yard throw (also while being chased by a defender who wants to grind him into pulp). But a golfer who wants to a stationary object needs complete silence. Professional golfers are a bunch of snowflakes.
