Most people never realize that small dogs can be very fast. Mini Schnauzers are incredibly fast and can run at speeds of 20 mph. The average running speed of the Shih Tzu is 15.1 mph. Some small dogs are slower and bigger dogs faster. Start slowly and work them up. YOU do NOT need to carry your dog.

While not a universal truth, dog and puppies will not leave any tail-tale clean-up problems when being carried.

I think this is the beginning of a new species “The Furry Slug.” The former little yapper’s legs atrophied because they were never used.
