Question: Do you, as a Trump Disciple, believe that Trump is so stupid that he does not know the function of the Post Office, or do you believe he is lying?
Regardless of what Henry and Donald think, I don’t think it’s legal to for the Post Office to give special treatment — favorable or unfavorable — to an individual company. DT may be able to change the PO’s rate structure — or maybe not (set by Congress?), — but not without hurting Amazon’s main competitors at least as much as Amazon.
Considering that everyone of the Rumps advisors tried to tell him he was wrong in attacking Amazon because of the piles of money they pay into USPS this just makes him look more and more like an idiot. Amazon might actually become the primary reason USPS stays afloat.
I think I heard that Amazon’s shipping through the USPS accounted for nearly 30% of the Postal Service’s package-delivery revenue, and that package shipping is the only profitable division of the US Mail. Not that facts matter much to the present administration. However, since that relationship isn’t broken, let’s make sure we fix it!
someone needs to spank that bully – oh someone already did. Then he forgot to pay her off, and report his donations to the electoral finance committee. What an incompetent thief he turned out to be. I am glad the right is okay with the president attacking private citizens and American companies. Just wait until we get a democrat president and they will suddenly care about morality again lol
The reason Amazon gets a better cost is because they will use standard sized boxes and apply bar codes that allow the POst Office to automate the handling, decreasing USPS costs. There are other companies that use the UPS-to-USPS service and they get deals based on the same cost savings. The cost structure should be re-examined because USPS might have been a little too generous in the savings. But it isn’t true they are losing money on packages. USPS is hurting because of the decrease in first class mail.
A bit skeptical about the whole thing. Bezos owns WAPO and is pumping out opt-eds defending his company while Trump is going on about how they are ripping off USPS. Now Amazon has a deal with USPS where they hire City Carrier Assistants, who are low wage (they don’t make as much as regular mail carriers), non-career low ranking employees who worked six days a week before Amazon signed a deal with USPS for Sunday deliveries. In other words for less than what UPS, FedEx, and any other courier charge USPS exploits these contract-to-hire workers to work long hours with no overtime attached. Though Trump is still an a(word)e I do believe he is on to something here.

Well, Bezos can buy Trump out with his pocket change. BTW, the post office makes plenty off package delivery, snail mail is the loser.

I got a package from Amazon delivered by the USPS. Does this make me an enemy of the state?

Its so great that the Republicans directed all of our tax dollars to go to the Billionaires Boys Club so they can play with our world.
It wasn’t enough that Bannon and Mercer rigged the election with Facebook data but Trump favors fascist Sinclair over CNN.
Have fun sorting out reality under our fake president.
