Folks, you’re witnessing a straw man, the depiction of a caricature of one’s opponent in a grossly exaggerated manner or a representative of such a small degree of one’s opposition that that degree’s opinion is negligible. This is a common tactic of the basic right-wing populist, treatable only with discernment.
Seems like the way the Reich-winger pretend liberals are.
The GOP wants to have no sanctuary and be able to stop people for being the wrong color. They want workers to have no rights at work, and machine guns to be owned by everyone. All Republicans want racism and misogyny to be allowed everywhere – bigots to everything but white, male, Christians. Now they want the census to skew the results to get better numbers for the red states.
And if you don’t agree with this – you know that liberals aren’t like the person depicted in this funny toon either.
Funny. The comments here deride the comic in general but fail to address the topics one by one. I would be interested to see a point by point response instead of a blanket condemnation.
I was always told that if you’re uncomfortable with one of the questions on the Census count that you do not need to answer it. That said…. Census counts are important in that they should count all of the people in the country so that the country is prepared to deal with the problems that come with population of areas…. Such as the building of highways.. water distribution… Health Facilities.. electrical grids… Research for the budgets of firefighters and police enforcement officers… Etc etc etc….. Without accurate census counts the country would suffer through the inadequacies of undersupply of necessities of life. It would be another way to become a failed state. Census counts are very important. If you’re not a citizen and you’re not comfortable answering that question, you don’t have to answer anything that makes you uncomfortable.
Gee, I was just wondering if someone could make a really good point in a really badly misleading way. Thanks, Kelley!
You’re right, fewer and fewer people want to admit to being part of a nation that could choose to follow the “leadership” of the world’s biggest, blustering bag of vinegar and water.

Actually there are a lot of good suggestions here, presented in as demeaning and ignorant fashion possible.

Was just in New Zealand on their census day. They count even guests in the home at the time, no citizenship question.
