    Good morning, Vagabonds.

The US Postal Service, in all its wisdom had decided that Clermont’s downtown post office is a better place for my general delivery mail than the little nearby town of Minneola. I went to the Minneola office yesterday and the clerk checked the tracking number for me. He told me he would call the Clermont office and have them deliver the mail to him and he will call me. Of course, the whole reason for having it delivered to Minneola was that it is closer to me at this campground. We move today, and now that office will be 15 miles away. Ah well, you try to do something efficient….

Still no “accidents” from Buddy, but the rising humidity is bringing out some of the old smells. Oh, joy.

I am looking forward to moving to a new campground today. While this one is beautiful and I love the live oak trees overhead (yes, I found out that they are live oak, and the moss is Spanish moss) we picked a spot that seems to be ant central. There must be at least 30 ant hills in this campsite! And more appear after every rain storm. I’ve walked around the campground and there are not any other spots with this many ant hills. And some of them are fire ants.

On the plus side, the weather has been gorgeous. It started to cloud over a bit yesterday and showers are predicted for the next couple of days, so I packed up all the patio gear into the car so it wouldn’t get wet again.

    Everyone have a blessed day.

    Good morning Vagabonds

Bright sun shine this morning. The weather forecast says 50 for the high.

Fire ants, that’s a hot one. ;-) We have big black ants and then there are little red ants too.

Super Troopers 2 a spoof on the Vermont State Police is in theaters this week end, and it looks like the RCMP get zinged a little too. The thing is the movie was filmed in Massachusetts.

However, movies made in VT include Hitchcock’s “The Trouble with Harry” a black comedy, “Ghost Story” A seventy year old secret comes back to haunt the men who keep it, “Sweet Heart’s Dance” Staring Don Johnson.

Gotta get going, a blessed day to all.

    Good Morning Vagabonds…

That’s quite a story, Jan. I envy you, being in that part of Florida, this time of year. I used to have family in Oklawaha, near The Villages & “next door” to the Ocala National Forest (Oklawaha is approx. 40 or 50 mi. north of Minneola). Until I visited there (Oklawaha), I didn’t know it was the location of Ma Barker’s final shootout with FBI way back in 1935.

Thanks for the VT movie info., DKRAM.

It’s a beautiful day here in South Florida, but I like to be in a canoe in a lake in the Ocala Forest right now! pf

    Good morning Vagabonds.

A beautiful day today. Sunny and in the upper 50’s. Will be this way for the next few days. No rain in sight until Wed.

    Maybe spring has finally arrived.

Glad I’m not doing all the moving that you are Jan.

Not doing anything today until I go to church at 4 pm.

    Peace to all.

    Good Sunny morning, Vagabonds,

Gorgeous and only gets up to 70 here. Lovely!

We had another “party” last night. This time it was at a great Mexican restaurant overlooking the runway at Montgomery Field. We enjoyed police and fire dept. helicopters, and small aircraft coming and going while we enjoyed each other and great food (and my Strawberry Marguerita!) Little Chase was given a Sombrero and a huge plate of ice cream, and was serenaded by the wait staff. Such fun!

Today is the big family party. Our Palmdale family will be there today, so that’s a plus, and we’ll FaceTime the North Carolina family during the day, so we’ll be complete.

    xoxoxo Happy Trails

We’re nestled into a woodsy campsite at the new campground. Enough foliage around us to create privacy – a lot more than at some of the “parking lot” style places we have been. We’ll be here 3 weeks and then move on. To where we do not know yet.

No word from USPS yet. I’m not holding my breath since they are closed on Sunday. If I don’t hear from them Monday then I will head to Clermont and try and get it from there.
