Once word gets around what they’re up against, that’ll shorten the list of boys who are interested in you really fast. Nice move, Val.

When I was dating (late 60’s), it was really hard on boys that came to our house to date any of the girls. Dates had to pass inspection of all the younger siblings who watched and reported on everything. Those who survived tell tales of all the younger ones watching and questioning them.

Those where the better days. Now boys and girls try how far they can get. Example my daughter when in HS then a boy asked her to take him to a local lake he could fish. Knowing my daughter as well she was on her cellphone talking away not even thinking what this boy would come up with. School was out inservice day. My daughter came home upset after school this same teen boy came up with a dusi. What turned out to be purly plationic becaue R rated to X rated. My daughter never even thought of this at all. I called school and told them the rumors this teen came up with and told them to talk to my daughter. Counselor implied what this amounted to and I said yes its bad. Not sure what happened and I warned my this could happen before I called. It was so bad the same boy said he got my daughter pregant and then she had an abortion.

@Kab, why did you have “them talk to your daughter”? Why didn’t YOU talk to your daughter?

@VikThor - I think Kab had the school counselor talk to her daughter because the boy in question was spreading rumors at the school about Kab’s daughter and Kab wanted the counselor to talk to her daughter so the counselor would know what went on and why this boy was doing that so he could be stopped by the school officials.

Nab & ireg….things haven’t changed. My son’s rake their sister’s boyfriends over the coals. If they can’t hake it, they aren’t worthy. If they can shovel it right back they’re accepted. As long as they treat her well. It goes for the girls coming with the sons, gotta be able to hold your own in our family.
Someone said about not hurting your daughter, well it goes both ways, don’t hurt my boys or you will be forever scorned (I’m on the city, can’t dig too deep because of the hard clay).
