He doesn’t realize how much an honor the cat’s giving him by sleeping on him. My husband not only knows it’s an honor but he uses it as an excuse. “I’m trapped. There’s a cat pinning me down.”

Yup. 4 adults and 1 kitten. One at a time, but eventually they all get there.
I have the same problem in my living room chair. Beau gets in my lap, then Jasmine wants to be in my lap and Beau leaves if she jumps up.
