In the case of “Pickles”, it’s one cat and one dog. In the case of “Pooch Café”, ten-ish cats and one dog.

Well, no pets, but we get to babysit grandkids and dogs. I guess that counts, and we can give them back while we collapse. The grandkids are easy, but the dogs love to chase balls in my backyard and go for walks. I’m a sucker.

In my case, the nest is truly empty. I haven’t had ANY pets since my last dog died. I have said it before that if “they” could come up with a dog that would outlive me, I would gladly have it because I do miss having a dog. It’s too hard on me when they die though. The last two are buried in my backyard and I still miss them both.

It’s funny to see a pet dog of an anthropomorphic dog.

Got that right. Five cats and 3 dogs. Last summer we finished the renovations and remodeling of our vacation home and will retire up there this summer. The term “Three Dog Night” will take on a new meaning for us.
