    Good morning™, modest TV stars!

Since Tracy refers to George Reeds in the past tense, we ought to assume that he’s dead.

The stairs are at a weird angle and the door knob has switched position.

Nice to see John’s carrying on the family tradition of daily mistakes!

    LOL!

John’s art reminds me a little bit of Kyle Baker’s work. ✨

Looks to me like the door has been opened in the mean time, we are looking in to Reed’s house here. Nothing weird about those stairs.

Yeah. I goofed on the doorknob. The stairs are just perspective, a low vanishing point to accentuate the act of climbing stairs.

Sam looks like a leprechaun today.

And Tracy looks like a cross between Fearless Fosdick and Bizarro Superman!

No Crime Scene tape? If a murder’s been committed, then CSI already on the scene & DA contacted re. search warrants. Tracy & Sam would be brought in as detectives to question neighbors, suspects etc. So enough time would have passed prior to their arrival for tape to be up. Especially important re. barricade for press in a celebrity-centric crime.

Tracy’s coat looks like he just got dragged behind a car.

I like your style, John. Are the daily strips available anywhere in black and white?

Gotta luv the fighting over who gets the credit for Vista Bill tribute week.

    Bill would have cringed

    Morrow would have loved it

Sydney would have Bold Typed half his comment.

Maybe it’s because of JL’s erratic style!

Have to say I dislike this cartoonist interpretation of the iconic characters. He makes Sam look like a demented pixie while Tracy looks so different that if he wasn’t identified every other panel we could not know who he was supposed to be. Even wearing the Tracy super hero costume of yellow hat and trench coat, with the superhero sidekick, Sam Catchum in his derby chewing a toothpick, without the constant naming, I would not know who they were.Bad art, drawn while you wait.

Why is that leprechaun hanging out with Tracy instead of celebrating Notre Dame’s Women’s Basketball championship?

Hey John, I just realized that your style would be perfect for a comic character idea I have. Let’s do lunch, your treat! LOL!

Since the caption in the upper left of the first panel refers to the LATE Mr. Reeds, maybe that should close all the specjulative comments. Unless Reeds had a meeting with Tracy and he’s ain’t there yet. But one can assume dude is dead.

Thanks to John L’s art (panel 2 in particular), I suddenly realize how Tracy became such a great detective! —He was the first Vulcan to visit Earth and “pass” as a native!

Looks like the next scene should be the assembled suspects (I think in the days in which this is set, you could still say “suspect” rather than “person of interest” as in today’s ultra-cautious PC environment), confronted by inquisitor-Tracy, who will flush out the guilty party (yeah, I’m assuming someone murdered Reeds) in just a few rounds of questioning. And, BTW, thanks to Officer Murray for securing the scene and suspects!

I guess poor George Reeds had two demises. The first one was his career, the second one was his life.

Here’s my guess at who the suspects are. They are the actors who played these roles on the Ultraman show:

    1. Alex Thorul, Ultraman’s arch-enemy^

    2. Natale Neal, Ultraman’s love interest

    3. Inspector Pierce, Ultraman’s police contact

    4. Professor Salthinkle, who keeps making inventions that go awry and require Ultraman’s to rescue everyone.

^ Yes, I know Lex Luthor was never on this show, but you gotta include him here.

(And yes, a couple of these references will be hard to find LOL)
